About the event

The Emerging Writers Track is designed for writers who are just beginning their journey — finding their voice, building their practice, and discovering the community that will carry them forward.

Writers are often asked to carry a great deal — culturally, emotionally, professionally. In a landscape that can be demanding and extractive, sustaining creative work requires intentional care. This workshop introduces the Oh My Gooseness framework — Explore, Excavate, Exhilarate — as a structured journaling and iterative writing practice designed to support writer wellbeing. Rather than focusing on producing draft-ready material, this session centers journaling as a tool for clarity, emotional grounding, and creative stamina. Through reflective and embodied writing exercises, participants will reconnect with voice, lived experience, and inner alignment — and learn how iterative writing can help move through blocks, self-doubt, and fatigue. Leave with a framework you can integrate into your daily life to sustain your creativity…
